History, reparations and inclusivity meet at The Stone House at Silver Creek. Inclusion and safety are at the forefront of our team's operations as we work to ensure that every kind of love story has safe space to be expressed and celebrated. The gem of the property, the historic three-story mansion, was originally constructed in 1790 and maintains classic charm with the addition of modern amenities. Located on 51 sprawling acres, you couldn't ask for a more private location while still having the convenience of urban proximity. At The Stone House at Silver Creek, nearly weds may choose between our two event spaces, the fully restored tobacco barn or The Atrium.

The Stone House at Silver Creek is owned and operated by Megan (left) and Braidyn Bloomer (right). The idea for the venue took shape when Megan (she/her) returned home to Appalachia in 2020 to support her parents during the height of the pandemic. Braidyn (they/them), originally from Oklahoma, has fallen in love with Kentucky’s landscape and community. Together, they are proud to offer an inclusive, affirming wedding venue where love in all forms is celebrated.
About the venue
"I wish I had the words to describe just how grateful and blown away we still are by the whole experience. I’ve had two sisters and a few friends get married in the last few years (also part of why I was so overwhelmed) and this was by far the best venue experience I’ve had. On top of the amazing personal interactions, the venue itself is gorgeous and the amenities were everything we wanted and needed. The décor library is the best bonus, but the venue is so beautiful you don’t even need much! You can truly feel the history and care put into it all. There is so much more I could go on about, but I hope what I have said has been convincing, because I can’t recommend it enough. My heart still swells and feels so warm when I think about the Stone House."
