GUEST INFORMATION

NOTE: Google Maps and Waze often tell folks that Hagan Mill Rd is the quickest way to get to the venue. Respectfully, GPS is a liar - this route is "shorter" in miles but not in anxiety. If possible, avoid Hagan Mill's one-lane/winding roads and take I-75 to Richmond Exit 87 for the easiest route to the venue.

  • The address for GPS is 1920 Curtis Pike, Richmond, KY 40475.
  • If you are coming from Richmond exit 87 - take the exit and head West (this will put iHOP, Chik Fil A, and Raisin Cane's on your right as you continue down the road).
  • Continue down Barnes Mill Road (heading West) until you come to the Corner Store Marathon gas station (on your left).
  • Turn immediately at the Corner Store Marathon gas station (onto Curtis Pike)
  • Proceed along Curtis Pike for 3.5 miles.
  • After you cross the second concrete bridge, you will enter a sharp curve.
  • As you exit the curve, you will see the first driveway to the venue (with a closed gate) and a sign for the property right-hand side
  • The entrance is another 50’ down the road, directly past the black barn (there is a gravel driveway between the barn and the mailboxes).
  • Enter through the open gate, and then follow the signage to the pasture parking field.

* SCREENSHOT/SAVE/PRINT THESE DIRECTIONS AS CELL SERVICE WILL LIKELY BE LIMITED NEAR THE VENUE*

UNLOADING

If you are arriving earlier than general wedding guests and have items that need to be unloaded in the barn, we highly recommend utilizing the "active loading zone" which is located on the roadside of the barn (see photo below). Once you've parked parallel with the barn doors, you may slide the doors open and load directly into the barn from there.
The venue staff asks that once you have completed loading items in, that you move your vehicle to the parking field so that others may safely utilize the loading zone. At no point can more than one vehicle be parking in the loading zone.

WEDDING DAY PARKING

GETTING TO THE
CEREMONY SITE

The Stone House at Silver Creek has several ceremony site options, so please double-check with your loved ones on what ceremony site they've selected.
However, we will never run more than one event at a time, and couples GENERALLY opt to get married in our Tea Garden area - so the below info will be in regard to that ceremony site.

  • Once you've parked in the pasture parking lot, you may either utilize our mobility transport (golf cart that runs 1 hour before ceremony time) or walk up to the ceremony site.
  • In the middle of the parking field fence, there is a break in the fence (see picture below) that will give you the quickest route to the ceremony site.
  • It can be QUITE a walk from the parking area to the ceremony site - so please give yourself plenty of time and do take advantage of our golf cart/mobility transport as needed.

REHEARSAL DAY INFO

REHEARSAL load-in/parking

If your loved one(s) have booked an overnight package at The Stone House at Silver Creek and plan to hold their rehearsal dinner at the venue, the information below will guide you on their rehearsal day.

  • If you are arriving earlier than general wedding guests and have items that need to be unloaded in the barn, we highly recommend utilizing the "active loading zone" which is located on the roadside of the barn (see photo below). Once you've parked parallel with the barn doors, you may slide the doors open and load directly into the barn from there.
  • If you have items that need to be unloaded at the dressing suites or in the house/overnight accomodations, please be aware that there is another driveway that leads directly to those locations.
  • HOWEVER, the driveway leading to the dressing suites/house is extremely narrow and not well suited to more than 2-3 cars MAX. Please consider parking in the pasture parking lot and hand carrying or carting items over to the house from there.
  • The Golf Cart will not be available for guest transport on rehearsal days so please prepare to walk from the parking areas to the rehearsal space.

GENERAL VENUE POLICIES TO BE AWARE OF

NO SELF SERVE ALCOHOL
All alcohol must be served by a licensed and insured professional (bartender, caterer, etc)

We are a historic property/venue - our primary event spaces (the house and the barn) are several hundred years old and very VERY flammable. For that reason, we ask that wedding guests please refrain from smoking while on property.
please only park in the pasture parking lot or stone house driveway

please don't trespass or pet/feed the animals
Though we are predominantly a wedding venue, the property also includes our private residence. For that reason, we ask that wedding guests only park in designated areas, stick to the designated ceremony and reception sites, and avoid interacting with the livestock on the property.
